HAM AND CHEESE PASTA SALAD
1 (16 oz.) pkg. of your favorite pasta
1 (16 oz.) pkg. Broccoli cooked and cooled
2 env. Italian Salad Dressing Mix, prepared as directed
8 oz. cooked ham, cut into 1 1/2" diagonal strips
8 oz. cheddar or provolone cheese, shredded or cubed
cut into 1 1/2" diagonal strips
½ c. green onion chopped
¼ cup green bell pepper chopped
¼ cup red bell pepper chopped
Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Rinse with cold water and drain well. Combine pasta, vegetables and ham in a large bowl. Add prepared salad dressing as needed, about 1 1/2 cups. Toss well. Chill 2 hours. Add cheese right before serving
Makes 8 servings.
Rachel's Notes: This is a “TOO HOT TO COOK RECIPE”, use either deli ham or a pre cooked ham, the only heat will be from cooking the pasta which can be done the morning of or even the night before.
