Bama Steak And Cheese Sandwiches
1 lb Deli Roast Beef chopped
1-2 Cups Mozzarella, Provolone or Swiss Cheese shredded
1/2 stick butter
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
3-4 Tablespoons Dale's Sauce (Kroger has their own version)
(can use Moore's Marinade, Soy Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, etc if you cannot find Dales)
Soft Deli Rolls (Sandwich or Hoagie Rolls) toasted as desired
In large skillet, melt 1/2 stick margarine or butter. Add 1-2 tablespoons sauce, according to taste. Add onions and peppers and saute until tender. Add roast beef and additional sauce (according to taste) and continue cooking over medium heat until just warmed. Take off heat and sprinkle cheese over top. Let sit until melted and then spoon onto rolls.
Rachel's Notes: I found this recipe on the internet but I have forgotten where, I made this as written except I omitted most of the butter, I only used 1 tablespoon or so. I loved this sandwich! I used the Kroger brand of sauce and it was delicious so fast and easy and the DH gave them a big thumbs up! Since this has minimal Cooking I consider this a TOO HOT TO COOK RECIPE.
