
Jan's BBQ Sauce
½ cup cider vinegar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup chili sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire
2 Tbsp finely minced onion
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic minced
½ tsp ground mustard
dash of cayenne or Tabasco
1 tsp olive oil
In small sauce pan combine onion and oil, sauté for a few minutes until onion has softened. Add garlic, and sauté about 1 minute add other ingredients and simmer for about an hour.
Serve over ribs or any meat as desired.
Rachel's Notes: Oh this is so good! My sister gave me this recipe hence the name, very tangy and sweet, the only thing I think should be different is to run this through the blender before cooking to make a smoother sauce other than that I liked this recipe as is.
