Goulash

 

2 cups chopped bell peppers and onion (I used frozen pre chopped)

1 pound Lean Turkey Sausage

1- 8oz can tomato sauce

1- 15 oz can chopped tomatoes

1-15 oz can chopped tomatoes w/ green chilies or jalapenos

1 cup dry whole wheat pasta

½ cup water

1 Tablespoon soy sauce

1 Tablespoon Worchester sauce

1 tsp garlic

½ tsp seasoned salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated (optional I use reduced fat)

 

In a Dutch oven or very deep chicken fryer pan cook sausage and onion and bell pepper mixture until meat is done and onion and peppers are soft.

Add the rest of the ingredients and stir and cook until pasta is done.

Take off heat add grated cheese on top and cover about 5 minutes until cheese is melted serve immediately

 

Rachel's notes: This recipe is a real winner the flavor is fantastic and since I almost always have all these ingredients on hand it's a cinch to prepare this and have on the table in about 30 minutes or so, serve with a nice green salad, serves 4 with maybe a little leftover. The DH said this was a winner!
