Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Pie

Serves: 6-8


1 29 oz. can Glory Foods® Sweet Potatoes, drained

1 ea. 9" Pie shell, unbaked

1/2 cup Flour

1/2 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Brown sugar

2 ea. Eggs

4 Tbsp. Butter, melted

2 tsp. Vanilla extract

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Nutmeg

1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1/4 tsp. Salt



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Whip Glory Foods® Sweet Potato with mixer to soften and remove excess strings.

3. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shell and bake for about an hour, or until the center is firm.

4. Cool before slicing.

Rachel's Notes: Well I had never had sweet potato pie before, but this will not be the last. This pie was absolutely delicious! The spices for this were so good, please note use a deep dish pie crust to hold all this pie or cook the remainder in a muffin tin, I had enough batter to make 3 or 4 muffin cups full and it took a little less time about 45 minutes or so.
