ALMOND JOY CAKE

1 box Chocolate cake mix w/pudding or your favorite cake mix

Bake as directed on box in a 9x 13 inch pan.

FILLING:

1 c. evaporated milk

1 c. sugar

24 lg. marshmallows

1 (14 oz.) pkg coconut

Combine milk and sugar; add marshmallows and heat until melted. Add coconut. Pour over cake while hot.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. evaporated milk

1/2 c. butter

1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

1 c. almonds or pecans (for Pecan Joy Cake)

 

Mix sugar, butter, and milk. Bring to a boil, add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Add nuts. Pour over cake and top with a few extra nuts for garnish. Just like an Almond Joy candy bar.

Another Family Favorite! Very rich and moist simply yummy! A friend of mine gave me this recipe not too long after I got married.
