Will Payne and Barry Diamond have a collective of 40 years in broadcasting. “Getting out and helping people, that’s what we are all about” Payne says.“Business or charity both are equally important to us,” said Diamond. They helped raise over $115,000 for local charities last year. Success is an under statement. Both were voted Best DJ’s in area newspaper poles, named the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters non-metro Radio Personalities of the year in 2000, 2002, and had 65% of the home county audience in the county by county Arbitron for 2002.

K95.5 Morning Circus Named 2004 Personalities of the Year
K95.5's (KITX Hugo, OK) Will Payne, Barry Diamond, and the Van Man of the K95.5 Morning Circus were named winners of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters non-metro market Personalities of the Year, last Saturday night at the Annual Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards ceremony in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“Wow, this is a tremendous honor; we were nominated with some great talent, and to be selected. That's special “ Payne said after the ceremony.

“Another great honor has been bestowed upon us, our team makes it fun to come to work each morning” said Diamond.

The Van Man is a first time winner and had this to say following the ceremony. “I would like to thank my fans, my sponsors, the folks that bring me coffee, my family, NASCAR, Lisa D, Mike Rogers, Rachel, Carolyn, Jo, Melissa, Bill, and our wives. Oh yeah Will and Barry too those guys are awesome.”

2002 NAB MARCONI RADIO AWARDS
FINAL NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

Washington, DC, July 1, 2002 - More than 100 radio stations and on-air personalities have been selected as finalists for the National Association of Broadcasters' Marconi Radio Awards competition. Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner, Guglielmo Marconi, the Marconi Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio.An independent task force selected finalists in 20 categories. Ballots will be sent to members of the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy in mid-July. The ballots are tabulated by KPMG.

The nominees are:

This year's show, September 12-14 in Seattle, WA, will feature interactive sessions, special events and an extensive exhibit floor. News Release January 2001

K95.5’s Morning Circus will broadcast live from the Texas Motor Speedway prior to races. This is the first time a radio station from our area has been granted broadcast rights.

The Morning Circus is Will Payne and Barry Diamond. Both devout racing enthusiasts, Diamond was the announcer at Paris motor speedway for X years. “ This is such honor to be able to do the show from Texas Motor Speedway” Payne said. “NASCAR and Busch series racing is huge!” Diamond said.
